1. Information Collected From You and About You
We are both Data Controllers and Data Processors. The following sections describe the information we collect from you and about you.
Information You Provide
We collect and store the information that you voluntarily provide when you fill out various form fields in the Products or when you contact us via email. In many places throughout the Products, the information you provide is dictated by your employer.
Information We Collect
We may also collect basic analytics data for the purpose of optimizing our website content and marketing efforts. Cookies may be set within this process.
2. Information Usage
When appropriate, we will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us, e.g. to schedule a demo or respond to an inquiry. The information you provide during your use of the Products may be accessible to and used by your employer, who is the account owner.
Information collected globally is transferred to and stored at data centers within the United States via an encrypted connection.
3. Information Sharing
We will not sell, rent, or share your information with any third party outside of our organization unless required by law or necessary in order to fulfill your specific request. Anonymized, general statistics or information may be used to determine trends across all accounts and users. This information may be included in our marketing materials, blogs, or other materials but will never include your individual information in any personally identifiable way.
We take serious, careful precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Information you provide is encrypted and transmitted to our data centers using an SSL-encrypted “https” connection. Sensitive and personally identifiable information is also encrypted “at rest”.
We also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
Although we work diligently to employ industry best practices in our efforts to protect your information, no system is absolutely impenetrable. We therefore cannot in good conscience provide an absolute guarantee that information, during transmission across the Internet or as it is stored in our system, is 100% safe from intrusion by malicious actors. If this risk is unacceptable to you or your organization, we advise you to not use our Products or any other cloud-based or internet-connected software products.
5. Controlling Your Data
You may opt out of certain future contacts from us at any time, other than those messages that your employer requires us to send to you. You can do the following at any time by contacting us at support.builtforteams.com:
- See what data we have about you, if any.
- Change/correct any data we have about you.
- Have us delete any data we have for you, with the approval of your employer in some situations.
- Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
If you do not agree with our data collection and privacy details as specified in this policy, do not use the Products or submit any information via email or our various forms in the Products.
